Data Engineer

About the Role

Finarb Analytics Consulting is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team in Kolkata and Bengaluru. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that power our clients' analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory and related technologies for building and orchestrating data workflows.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and monitoring systems.
• Support data modeling initiatives, including relational and dimensional modeling.
• Construct reporting and monitoring solutions for efficient and accurate data operations.
• Process, log, and correlate data from multiple sources to fulfill business requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
• Strong scripting skills for data and file manipulation (e.g., Python or similar).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, or similar data integration and transformation tools.
• Hands-on experience with scalable data systems, including batch and real-time processing.
• Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, data modeling, and Business Intelligence systems.
• Strong knowledge of event processing and workflow orchestration.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and adhere to software engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a drive for results.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure or AWS.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Lake, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
