Data Engineer I

FedEx is seeking a Data Engineer I (Grade T2) in Gurugram, India. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining business intelligence and data warehouse systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring secure and efficient data storage and retrieval, enabling self-service data exploration, and supporting stakeholders with insightful reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will assist in the development and maintenance of BI/analytics systems, implement these systems according to business needs, and design/optimize data warehouse architectures. This position will also focus on enabling user self-service data exploration, developing reporting and analysis applications, designing data models, and implementing data security strategies. Furthermore, the role involves optimizing BI production processes, providing user training and support, and collaborating with vendors on project management for BI solutions. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar) is required, with a Master's or PhD preferred. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant data engineering experience.
