Full Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer to develop robust data software applications, platforms, and products. This role involves close collaboration with application engineers, data scientists, and CRM teams to design, document, develop, test, and implement effective solutions. You will contribute to the entire development lifecycle, including defining engineering standards, data analysis, data modeling, coding, testing, code reviews, deployment, operational readiness, and agile management.
- Drive the delivery of high-value, complex projects within budget.
- Assume technical ownership for software components throughout all development stages.
- Translate business requirements into functional technology solutions and ensure their successful design and development.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders regarding work status.
- Proactively manage change requirements and ensure smooth solution adoption through knowledge transfer, training, and deployment readiness.
- Document design decisions and code artifacts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to colleagues and customers.
- Articulate complex technical concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to align on technical viewpoints.
- Analyze business challenges and recommend best practices for product, process, or service improvements.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and support various internal departments simultaneously.
- Reporting to the Manager.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience as an engineer in data platform-centric environments.
- Deep understanding of data platform paradigms and software architecture.
- Proven experience with cloud development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Aurora.
- Expert proficiency in Pyspark, Python, and SQL.
- Ability to understand and implement detailed project specifications and adapt to new technologies while managing multiple projects.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
