Full Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer for a Full-Time position. This role is available in Wakefield, England; Visakhapatnam, India; and Hyderabad, India. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of Data Warehousing and Enterprise Integration projects using Informatica IICS or PowerCenter. You will develop ETL processes utilizing technologies like Informatica, MS Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake. Key responsibilities include developing data ingestion and integration pipelines from various sources into Azure Data Warehouse, adhering to established Data Pipeline Frameworks and technical specifications. You will also build and deploy data gathering/integration solutions for centralized reporting environments and automate business processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Performance tuning and optimization of all data ingestion and integration processes, including Data Platforms and databases, are crucial. This role involves supporting Data Analysts, IT, and Business Stakeholders in resolving data issues and developing business process automation solutions on platforms like Azure or AWS, with an understanding of tools such as PowerApps, Flow, SharePoint, Nintex, and K2.
About You:
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, BODS, Data Stage, Azure Data Factory, Pipeline work).
- Demonstrated knowledge in data modeling (e.g., keys, logical, subject areas, referential integrity).
- Minimum 1 year of experience specifically using Informatica IICS cloud-based tools.
- Experience with Cloud-based integrations.
- Exposure to the Financial Services industry is a plus.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment with competing priorities, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
- Success in simultaneously handling strategic and transactional responsibilities, particularly in a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
