Data Engineer

Ramboll is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our Data & Analytics team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role requires hands-on expertise in building dashboards for HR and Client & Sales domains, with extensive experience in Data Warehousing and Power BI. You will be responsible for developing data solutions, transforming and integrating data, and delivering actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, including complex queries and Stored Procedures, as well as expertise in Data Warehousing concepts, Data Modeling (Tabular Cube), SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Database. You will design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards, optimize SQL queries and ETL processes for performance, and ensure data quality. Collaboration with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights is key. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or Azure SQL Data Warehouse is a plus, as is knowledge of version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
