Data Engineer

About the Role

Linde is seeking a Data Engineer for Smart Operations (Global) to lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level data architecture solutions. This role enables scalable, secure, and efficient data access across Linde's global operations by building robust platforms that support AI product deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead scalable data architectures for structured, semi-structured, time-series, and unstructured data.
• Build unified, governed data platforms ensuring secure access to enterprise-wide information.
• Create robust pipelines integrating ERP systems, IoT devices (iHistorian), web services, and external APIs.
• Leverage modern stacks including Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks, and Azure for large-scale processing.
• Automate workflows with CI/CD pipelines to ensure 24/7 platform availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business-aligned data solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience, preferably in manufacturing settings. Proficiency required in:

• Languages/Frameworks: SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks (Delta Lake), .NET.
• Data Storage: SQL and NoSQL databases, Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Tools: PowerBI, Grafana, Tableau for data visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience. Strong programming skills in complex software development and knowledge of machine learning theory are highly valued.
