Data Engineer

Data Engineer - Bengaluru, India

Mindera is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This role is crucial for building, maintaining, scaling, and integrating big data platforms. You will collaborate closely with the Data Science team to set up and automate data science models and algorithms for production use, driving data-driven insights and business decisions.

What You Will Do:

• Implement and support new data solutions in data lakes/warehouses, particularly those built on Snowflake.
• Develop and design data pipelines using Python.
• Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Perform data modeling based on downstream requirements.
• Develop transformation scripts using advanced SQL and DBT.
• Write test cases and scenarios to ensure incident-free production releases.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts and various domains (Finance, Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering) to fulfill requirements.
• Debug production and development issues and provide support to colleagues.
• Perform data quality checks to ensure the accuracy of data exposed to end-users.
• Build strong relationships with team members, peers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the overall data platform implementation.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Airflow
• Knowledge of Data testing
• Experience with Snowflake

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to DBT
• Experience with modern data platforms like Redshift or Snowflake
• Experience with Airflow, Docker, and Terraform for CI/CD
• Experience with Docker, Scala, and Kafka
