Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with over 2 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. You will be instrumental in building and optimizing modern ETL/ELT pipelines, working with Data Lakes and Warehouses, and ensuring the high performance and reliability of our data systems. Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, GCP, CI/CD, and Docker is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and build enterprise-grade data products for cross-team consumption.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for accuracy and availability.
• Integrate data from various Sinch platforms and products globally.
• Contribute to data pipeline development, performance tuning, quality assurance, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Optimize existing data workflows and databases using best practices and modern tools.
• Identify opportunities for product, business, and architectural improvements through data analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to meet data requirements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform our data strategy.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of consistent experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong software development skills, particularly in Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and ETL/ELT process development.
• Experience in designing modern data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Data Lake and Data Warehouse concepts and best practices for large-scale data storage.
• Ability to troubleshoot data pipelines for performance and reliability issues.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
• Experience with database technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, or Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of various data architectures, including Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric.
• Fluent English for effective communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
