Join Propelld as a Data Analyst in our Treasury mid-office, based in our Corporate Office in HSR Bangalore. This full-time, permanent role is perfect for freshers looking to kickstart their career in a leading fintech NBFC.
As a Data Analyst within the Treasury – Debt & Lending Alliances department, you will be instrumental in gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insights. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing product offerings, streamlining operations, and enhancing customer experience through robust financial and treasury analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze extensive datasets from various sources, including loan performance, customer information, financial transactions, and treasury operations.
- Utilize advanced Excel functionalities such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, and complex formulas to derive meaningful insights.
- Develop and maintain automated reports and interactive dashboards using Excel and Tableau to monitor critical financial metrics.
- Provide actionable insights and identify trends, with a strong focus on financial and treasury-related data, to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams, offering data-backed recommendations to drive business performance improvements.
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical analyses to assess the effectiveness of business experiments and initiatives.
- Employ SQL for efficient data extraction and manipulation from databases.
- Uphold data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through rigorous validation and adherence to best practices, particularly for treasury and financial data.
- Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in Excel for data analysis and reporting, including advanced features like pivot tables, macros, and formula-based analysis, with a focus on financial and treasury data.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights, especially within financial contexts.
- A primary requirement is experience with financial numbers and treasury operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven insights effectively to cross-functional teams.
