Data Analyst, Staff at Qualcomm

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to join its People Analytics team. This team plays a vital role in leveraging workforce data to generate strategic insights that inform HR and business decisions. The role offers an opportunity to analyze workforce trends, ensure data accuracy, and collaborate on enhancing the company's data ecosystem.

This is an ideal position for a versatile analyst who excels in a dynamic environment, capable of independently conducting data analysis, communicating findings effectively, and working cross-functionally. The role offers end-to-end impact, allowing you to manage the entire analytics lifecycle from data extraction to insight generation. You will partner with HR leaders, IT, and other analysts to ensure seamless data integration and drive analytics excellence, contributing to a strong data-driven culture and influencing data governance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Analytics & Insights: Analyze HR and workforce data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations to business and HR leaders. Present findings clearly and compellingly to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data extracted from the data lake and other sources. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies in collaboration with IT and relevant teams. Document data definitions, sources, and reporting standards to promote consistency.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with fellow analysts to align methodologies and share best practices. Act as a liaison between People Analytics, HR, and IT teams to define and communicate data requirements. Partner with IT and data engineering to improve data infrastructure and expand available datasets.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in a People Analytics focused role.
  • Strong analytical, interpretation, and data visualization skills for HR and workforce data.
  • Experience handling large datasets and ensuring data integrity.
  • Proficiency in Excel and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills for defining and communicating data requirements.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Prior experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or related fields.
  • Understanding of key HR metrics and workforce trends (e.g., turnover, engagement, diversity analytics).

Location Information: This is an office-based position requiring 4 days a week onsite. Possible locations include India and Mexico.
