Job Summary

S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a talented Data Analyst with expertise in the Russian language to join their team. This role involves translating and localizing high-level financial documents, conducting primary and secondary research to gather financial information, and ensuring accurate and timely responses to client queries. The position requires quality assurance of translated materials, creation and maintenance of language resources like glossaries and style guides, and achieving individual and team targets. The analyst will also stay updated on translation guidelines, report daily work, and participate in various projects, including process improvement and automation initiatives. Collaboration with other teams and stakeholders is crucial for the expansion and transformation goals of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and localize high-level financial documents from Hebrew to English and vice-versa, preserving original style and tone.
• Conduct primary and secondary research to collect relevant financial information.
• Address queries from internal and external clients accurately, comprehensively, and promptly.
• Perform quality assurance on translated and localized content.
• Develop and maintain language glossaries, dictionaries, and translation memories.
• Draft language-specific style guides based on project requirements.
• Meet predefined individual and team performance targets, ensuring quality and excellence.
• Stay informed about updated translation and research guidelines and policies.
• Report daily work and address errors based on quality feedback within specified timelines.
• Participate in and execute assigned projects to expand market information and data coverage.
• Test new tools and applications to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Initiate and lead process improvement and automation projects.
• Escalate concerns promptly through the correct communication channels and respond professionally to communications from colleagues and management.
• Collaborate with other data sets and stakeholders to support team expansion and transformation goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Native or proficient competency in Russian and English. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a translator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Russian.
• Familiarity with Hebrew financial markets and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial subjects, concepts, and terms, including financial statements (IS, BS, CF), key ratios, and market data.
• Proficient analytical skills for thorough, objective research with keen attention to detail.
• Skilled in internet-based information research and proficient with desktop applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Ability to interact effectively at various professional levels and handle issues maturely.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective cross-team communication.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines, service level agreements, and targets.
• An inquisitive and investigative nature, with a proactive, highly motivated, and positive attitude.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to modern technologies, processes, and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Language proficiency certification is desirable.
• Proven experience in active participation in translation and localization projects, particularly within the financial industry/markets.
• Experience with Lean principles, automation, and machine translation.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA Macro is a plus.
