Data Analyst

Cognizant is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In this role, you will manage existing AMI Business Operations for a US utility client. You will work closely with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), managers, and Functional Leads to understand data nuances and business problem requests, including their downstream impacts.

Your responsibilities will include developing functional approaches to resolve issues, ensuring proper business closure, and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will analyze operational issues from a business perspective and collaborate with technical teams, application support, and product vendor teams to ensure timely resolution.

Key technical requirements include:

• Database Skills: SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access), Procedures, Functions, DDLs
• Reporting Skills: Power BI, Advanced Excel (Pivots, Charts, Power Query)
• ETL Understanding: Extract Transform Load concepts for any database
• Web Services: Basic understanding of SOAP, XML, and Web services
• AMI/Smart Metering: Familiarity with systems such as Itron Utility IQ (Head End System), Siemens Energy IP (MDMS System), Oracle CCB (CIS Billing System), Tesco MAMS (Asset Management System), and Aclara ProField Encore (Workforce Management System)

You will also execute and validate data fixes in the production environment using SQL queries, jobs, and specific data fix processes.
