Full Job Description
As a Data Analyst on our dynamic team at Aumni, you will collaborate directly with Product and Content teams to drive strategic decisions in the maritime analytics sector. Your role involves transforming complex data into clear narratives that support content strategy through deep research of industry trends, vessel tracking, and global shipping intelligence.
You will build interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight for internal stakeholders focusing on vessel performance metrics, while extracting and analyzing diverse maritime data sources including AIS signals and port information. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the intersection of technology and logistics who can independently manage end-to-end analytical projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze global shipping patterns and maritime industry trends to provide context for thought leadership content.
- Develop self-service analytics solutions empowering teams with access to real-time shipping data insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven narratives into marketing materials and blog posts.
- Monitor KPIs related to vessel compliance, security, and operational efficiency using statistical analysis of time series and geospatial data.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you must possess strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Advanced Excel. We are looking for candidates with 2-4 years of experience in data analysis within the maritime, logistics, or transportation sectors.
Technical expertise is required in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and business intelligence tools like Amazon QuickSight. Experience with statistical methods to interpret complex datasets is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:We highly value candidates familiar with AWS Data Services such as S3, RDS, and Glue, along with a deep understanding of global shipping operations and vessel management.
