Data Analyst

About the Role

Fulcrum Digital Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Digital Data Services team in Pune, India. In this pivotal role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights for the Surplus & Specialty Team. You will achieve this by developing sophisticated dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools like Tableau and SSRS. We are looking for a candidate with a robust foundation in data analysis, relational databases, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
• Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Collaborate with other Digital teams to provide reporting and analytical solutions for newly developed systems and portals.
• Work with both on-premise and cloud-based databases, developing queries, views, and tables to support data solutions.
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze effects and troubleshoot issues.
• Create organizational tools for data storage.
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels to design and develop BI solutions.
• Utilize JIRA for task tracking and management, ensuring timely completion and adherence to weekly sprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau dashboards, with working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
• Minimum of 2 years of extensive work experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2).
• Knowledge of efficiency techniques for query building and report/dashboard development.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and managing SSRS Reports.
• Proficiency in using query and reporting analysis tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying data insights and collaborating with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the insurance industry.
• Snowflake experience.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with data manipulation tools such as Python or R.
