Vice President, Data Analytics & Engineering - Cybersecurity Focus

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to lead data analytics and engineering efforts with a strong focus on cybersecurity. This pivotal role involves analyzing business processes, identifying needs, and defining requirements to enhance efficiency and productivity, leveraging both business acumen and advanced analytical skills. The primary focus will be on developing insights related to existing policies and capability expansion within data protection. You will be instrumental in generating novel insights into policy performance and user impact, driving measurable improvements in data protection controls and informing data protection strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data cleaning and validation, including organizing, sorting, and performing quality checks on data.
• Generate reports based on analyzed and manipulated data.
• Update existing data within databases and analyze feedback to identify trends, strengths, areas for improvement, and key concerns across various data sets and transmission channels.
• Establish meaningful metrics and reporting for technology owners and business partners concerning Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and capabilities.
• Manage stakeholders across divisions, programs, and fleets, understanding and advocating for the priority of strategic Data Protection Control (DPC) initiatives.
• Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing requirements, business designs, and feedback, and assist in creating presentations of key findings for leadership and platform owners.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is generally expected.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a data analyst in financial services, cybersecurity, and/or business strategy/management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data filtering, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meticulously review large datasets for discrepancies.
• Solid analytical skills to understand data patterns and identify potential issues.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data cleansing and validation tools, spreadsheets, and data management platforms.
• Ability to accurately input, export, and manipulate data.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey data validation findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
• A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and work ethic.
