Maxima Apparel is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join its growing analytics team in Gurugram, India. This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to modernizing a data analytics stack from its foundation.

Role Overview:

This role requires a proactive individual with 2-4 years of experience, reporting to the Sr. Data Manager, Analytics & BI. The successful candidate will work a shift aligned with US time zones (Monday–Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST).

Maxima Apparel is investing in its data infrastructure, with current reporting powered by PostgreSQL and Power BI, and future plans to integrate ClickHouse and a semantic layer. As a Data Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and data insights, creating efficient and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports. Proficiency in SQL for PostgreSQL and the ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders during late-evening calls with the US team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Dashboards:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business stakeholder requirements.
• Connect Power BI to PostgreSQL as the primary data source, with anticipated future integration of ClickHouse and Cube.js.
• Utilize advanced DAX measures and optimize Power Query (M language) for enhanced performance and data accuracy.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to report refreshes, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.
• Oversee report distribution, manage access permissions, and facilitate communication with stakeholders.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:

• Engage directly with international stakeholders across sales, operations, finance, and other departments in the U.S., China, and Mexico to translate business inquiries into actionable data solutions.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Data Manager to ensure data integrity and consistency in data models.
• Document report logic, data sources, and refresh schedules thoroughly.

Automation & Tooling:

• Assist in automating reporting workflows using Python scripting and Power Automate.
• Identify and champion opportunities to enhance the report architecture as the data stack evolves.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, Power Query (M language), and report development.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Cube.js, including model consumption and understanding of dimensions and measures.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse for optimizing query performance and enabling real-time analytics.
• Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation and report distribution.
• Proven ability to build reports in a multi-source data environment (e.g., PostgreSQL and ClickHouse).
• Understanding of star and snowflake schemas and data warehouse design principles.
• Knowledge of semantic layer concepts, with Cube.js experience being a significant advantage.
• Fundamentals of ETL/ELT processes.
