S&P Global Market Intelligence is a leading provider of information and benchmark prices for the commodity and energy markets. We are seeking a talented Data Analyst with expertise in the Dutch language to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Translate and localize high-level documents from Dutch to English and vice-versa, accurately capturing the style and tone of the original content.
• Conduct primary and secondary research to gather relevant financial information.
• Address and resolve queries from internal and external clients accurately, comprehensively, and in a timely manner.
• Perform quality assurance on translated and localized materials.
• Develop and maintain language glossaries, dictionaries, and translation memories.
• Draft language-specific style guides based on project requirements.
• Meet and exceed predefined individual and team performance targets, ensuring high quality and excellence in deliverables.
• Stay updated with the latest translation and research guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain daily reports of work performed and promptly fix any errors based on quality feedback.
• Contribute to the development and execution of projects aimed at expanding market information and data coverage.
• Participate in testing new tools and applications to enhance individual and team productivity and efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Escalate concerns promptly and professionally through the correct communication channels.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to support the expansion and transformation goals of the department.

What We Are Looking For

Basic Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch and English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a translator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Familiarity with financial markets and financial terminology is highly desirable.
• Understanding of accounting and financial concepts, including financial statements (IS, BS, CF), key ratios, and market-related data.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of conducting thorough and objective research.
• Proficient in internet research and standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels and manage issues professionally.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines and service level agreements.
• An inquisitive and investigative mindset, with a proactive, highly motivated, and positive attitude.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new technologies, processes, and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Language proficiency certifications.
• Demonstrated experience in translation and localization projects, particularly within the financial industry.
• Experience with Lean principles, automation, and machine translation.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or VBA macros is a plus.
