Data Analyst

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst in Chennai, India, to join their EBO Management Information System (India) team. This role requires no travel or clearance. The Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding client requirements, breaking them down into detailed tasks, and collaborating with the team to define solutions based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. Key responsibilities include managing backend PMO activities such as timesheet, invoice, and subcontractor management, as well as resource and expense tracking, and ensuring compliance. The role involves developing and maintaining advanced reports and dashboards using MS Excel, with a focus on MIS Reporting and Analysis. Internal data analysis, quality checks, and communicating findings to stakeholders are crucial. The position also supports process automation initiatives using VBA & Macros, and data modeling & transformation with Power Pivot and Power Query. Responsibilities extend to transcribing and reporting collected information accurately and timely into client-ready formats, and designing/implementing technology best practices for reporting and automation. The analyst will work with low to moderate supervision, ensuring deadlines and accuracy.

Required Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in science, business, IT, Analytics, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis, MIS Reporting & Analysis, or backend PMO activities. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query, formulas, macros) and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of PowerBI for dashboard creation and VBA for process automation. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and presenting recommendations. Ability to anticipate issues, troubleshoot, and develop proactive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate) for process automation.
