Data Analyst

FedEx is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru/Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing solutions for diverse data sets, supporting critical business decisions through data/text mining and analysis. You will gain deep insights into key business drivers by examining structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.

Leveraging current and emerging technologies, you will evaluate trends, develop actionable insights, and provide recommendations to management. This position emphasizes the use of data, statistical, and quantitative analysis to drive informed decision-making. As a technical expert, you will support management in interpreting complex information and contribute to divisional and corporate goals. You may also lead or support projects requiring specialized expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with global stakeholders to execute, validate, audit, and monitor revenue management and pricing strategies for strategic customers.
• Analyze large datasets to provide recommendations and create decision-making visibility through compelling visualizations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of core business concepts including financial metrics, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, pricing models, revenue/cost structures, margins, and P&L.
• Communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences using current and emerging technologies.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to implement business rules.
• Assist in developing data-driven strategies and recommendations for business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and analytics processes.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and quality-checked setup of discounts and pricing transitions to FedEx Pricing systems and relevant tools, aligning with regional teams.
• Transform and optimize pricing processes for improved efficiency, reduced turnaround times, and minimized human intervention through automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, and Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, enabling accurate results and actionable recommendations.
• Good understanding of pricing models/systems, revenue & cost structures, contribution & operating margins, and P&L views.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different regions and communicate with all levels of management.
• Proficiency in analytical, accuracy & attention to detail, planning & organizing, influencing & persuasion, and presentation skills.
