Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru / Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality analytics, encompassing data preparation, analysis, exploration, quality assessment, manipulation, method selection, design, application, and insight generation through visualization. You will undergo intensive learning to acquire key analytical, technical, and commercial skills, along with business knowledge, to become a proficient Analyst under the guidance of senior team members. Your performance will be measured by timeliness, accuracy, and feedback from managers and clients. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, transforming client questions into effective analytical solutions, and actively support the business in understanding and optimizing the use of analytical products and solutions. Continuous learning about advancements in the field of analytics is essential, as is adherence to Cigna's data and analytics culture and policies.

Key activities include supporting end-to-end analytical projects within a team, liaising with stakeholders to define project objectives and scope, performing data exploration, cleansing, and manipulation, determining and undertaking appropriate analysis, extracting actionable insights, and presenting these insights clearly through spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and visualization tools. You will also participate in client meetings, maintain ongoing stakeholder interaction, contribute to feedback processes for continuous improvement, and share knowledge within learning forums like the Analytics Community.

We require 2-4+ years of experience in a technical analytics environment. A tertiary qualification in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, physics, or a related discipline is necessary. You should possess knowledge of technical analytics disciplines, including data preparation and foundational analytics concepts. Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and delivering projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment is crucial. Strong commercial acumen to understand business needs and suggest the commercial impact of analytics solutions is expected. Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and/or Cloud data platforms like AWS is required. Experience with visualization and data management tools, GenAI/LLMs, and complex datasets is advantageous. Attention to detail, a drive for continuous improvement, and participation in external data hackathons/competitions are highly valued.
