Data Analyst

Tiger Analytics, a global leader in AI and analytics, is seeking a Data Analyst with a specialization in Banking & Financial Services to join our team in Chennai, India. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 clients, developing and executing sophisticated analytical solutions that drive significant economic value.

As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in delivering client-centric analytic solutions to complex business problems within the financial services sector. You will own and execute multiple analytical projects, requiring a deep understanding of business context and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable insights. We expect you to become a domain expert in areas such as new customer acquisition, existing customer management, customer retention, product development, pricing and payment optimization, and digital journey enhancement.

We are looking for individuals with:

• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, data quality assessment, formulating analytical methodologies, identifying patterns and anomalies, and generating actionable business insights. Experience in developing automated techniques to reduce false positives is preferred.
• Tools and Platforms: Expertise in Python, SAS, SQL, and Teradata. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA is essential. Experience with SAS on Mainframe, Big Data/Hadoop environments with Python coding, or Tableau Dashboard development is highly preferred.
• Domain Skills: A solid understanding of the banking domain, including cards, deposits, loans, wealth management, and insurance. Familiarity with audit frameworks and data quality frameworks is required. Knowledge of finance regulations and audit processes is a plus.
• Qualifications: A Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Applications, or Engineering from a premier institute is required (B.Tech/B.E/MCA are also considered). A postgraduate degree in Computers is preferred. You should have 5-8 years of hands-on experience in delivering reporting, MIS, or data analysis solutions.
