About the role
HackHalt Cyber Intelligence Council is seeking a dedicated Darkweb Researcher for a full-time hybrid position based in New Delhi, India, with provisions for remote work flexibility. The role focuses on the critical task of monitoring, analyzing, and documenting cyber threat intelligence derived from the dark web. Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing emerging threats, tracking illicit online activities, researching evolving cybercriminal techniques, and producing comprehensive threat intelligence reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders. This position demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams to contribute to effective threat mitigation and strengthen the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the dark web for cyber threat intelligence.
- Identify and document emerging threats and illicit activities.
- Research new techniques employed by cybercriminals.
- Prepare detailed and actionable threat intelligence reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support threat mitigation efforts.
- Contribute to the enhancement of organizational cybersecurity measures.
Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in cybersecurity research, dark web monitoring, and investigation techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with data mining, threat intelligence platforms, and OSINT tools.
- Understanding of digital forensics and malware analysis principles.
- Knowledge of current cybercrime trends and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Ability to produce precise, detailed, and actionable threat intelligence reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a cross-functional team.
- Certifications such as CEH, CND, CHFI, or equivalent are beneficial.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or PowerShell is a plus.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
