Cybersecurity Analyst II

About the Role

Roper Technologies, Inc., a leader in corporate cybersecurity within Sarasota, Florida, seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst II to assess security posture, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen cybersecurity programs across its portfolio of 29 companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments aligned with CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Roper's proprietary standards.
• Identify security risks, control gaps, and strategic improvement opportunities spanning endpoint, identity, network, cloud, and operational environments.
• Partner closely with security leaders, engineers, administrators, and analysts to develop practical remediation plans that enhance overall maturity.
• Support critical security hardening initiatives for both internal teams and acquisition targets during due diligence processes.
• Document findings and recommendations clearly for technical and business audiences, ensuring stakeholders understand material risks.
• Track remediation activities diligently and follow up on outstanding findings to ensure closure.
• Communicate complex risk scenarios effectively to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment methodologies, standards, and tools used across the portfolio.
• Assist portfolio company teams during active incidents by coordinating with third-party responders, supporting root cause analysis (RCA), and ensuring corrective actions are completed efficiently.
