Full Job Description

NOV is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dynamic team in Kochi. This hybrid role is crucial for bolstering NOV's cybersecurity operations. You will be responsible for administering essential security applications, ensuring secure system configurations, enforcing security policies, and actively identifying and mitigating threats across NOV's global hybrid infrastructure, encompassing both IT and OT environments. This position requires close collaboration with infrastructure, endpoint, and cloud teams to implement robust and consistent protection strategies. The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on technical expertise, a disciplined approach to execution, excellent documentation skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and tune enterprise security tools, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability management platforms, encryption systems, and policy enforcement agents.
  • Review, recommend, and manage software component changes and system configurations to align with security requirements.
  • Stay abreast of security features and vulnerabilities in supported products, implementing necessary updates and protections.
  • Investigate and resolve security misconfigurations and alerts within the security stack.
  • Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell and Python to automate routine tasks, such as policy deployments, log parsing, and report generation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and deployment runbooks.
  • Assist in the deployment and testing of new security solutions, including pilot evaluations, change control coordination, and phased rollouts.
  • Generate metrics on tool coverage, policy compliance, and remediation status, identifying trends for programmatic enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, OT, and cloud architects to ensure security controls are integrated into new solutions and business initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to customers for supported systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a large enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: SentinelOne, Zscaler, Intune, DLP, or similar security products.
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Solid understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, including least privilege, segmentation, malware defense, encryption, and logging.
  • Ability to interpret security policies and translate them into effective technical enforcement measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Okta, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or SOX.
  • Experience working within Active Directory and/or Azure AD environments.
