Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced Operations Security Consultant to lead security operations across diverse client environments in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This senior role requires extensive expertise in overseeing Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, incident response, threat detection, compliance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-customer SIEM (specifically QRadar) environments, a comprehensive understanding of various security frameworks, and the ability to foster robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include managing daily security operations to ensure system availability and performance, leading 24/7 incident response and investigation using QRadar, and developing advanced security detection rules and threat intelligence integrations. You will drive continuous improvement through performance metrics and operational reviews, manage and mentor SOC analysts, threat hunters, and incident responders, and collaborate effectively with engineering, compliance, and client teams. Compliance with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, DORA, GDPR, and client-specific standards is crucial. The role also involves leading audit preparations, generating client reports and executive dashboards, maintaining risk treatment plans, and conducting vulnerability assessments using the EBIOS methodology.

Desired skills include hands-on QRadar SIEM experience, proficiency in security frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, DORA, and GDPR, and experience with vulnerability management, threat hunting, and risk assessment. Familiarity with automation, SOAR solutions, and workflow optimization is beneficial. Experience in technical environments such as Cloud (AWS/Azure), Mainframe, Data Warehouse, Database, or O365 is also a significant advantage. Preferred certifications include CISSP or CISM.

Minimum of 3-4 technical skills are required from areas including Cloud (AWS/Azure), Windows, Linux, Mainframe, Data Warehouse, Database, and tools such as Qualys, Splunk, ServiceNow, PAM, IAM, Palo Alto, Fortinet, SOC/EDR (MDR), AppSec, Bastion, Network Management, Micro-Segmentation, Vaults & Secret Management, PKI, and Vulnerability Scanning (Nessus).

Qualifications include a B.E./B.Tech./MCA or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Engineering. Candidates must be open to working European shift hours.
