Cyber Security Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Automation Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. This role is crucial for designing, delivering, and maintaining robust security automation playbooks. You will collaborate closely with various security functions, including the Security Operations Center (SOC), Insider Risk, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Red Team, and Threat Intelligence teams, to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of automation playbooks, from initial requirements gathering and planning through design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. A key objective is to identify and implement automation opportunities that significantly enhance the efficiency of our security analysts. You will be instrumental in building end-to-end solutions, including sophisticated automated feedback loops designed to improve the accuracy of our threat detection capabilities.

This position also involves leveraging cutting-edge AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), such as those from OpenAI and Hugging Face, to create advanced automation solutions that bolster our incident response efforts. You will apply AI techniques to enrich security data and automate routine security tasks, freeing up valuable analyst time for more complex challenges.

A strong emphasis will be placed on quality assurance and adherence to best practices. You will conduct thorough quality checks on all automation initiatives to minimize errors and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Advocating for standardization and maintaining high code quality standards, including rigorous code reviews and testing methodologies, is essential. Collaboration with diverse teams across all security functions will be vital to expand our overall automation capabilities.

Technically, you will utilize industry-standard tools such as GitHub for version control, team collaboration, and efficient code management. Experience with CI/CD tools, like GitHub Actions, is expected for automating software build, test, and deployment pipelines. Furthermore, you will employ data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, to effectively monitor and showcase the efficiency gains achieved through your automation efforts.
