Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst (Remote – India)

Job Summary: CareerUS Solutions is looking for a meticulous and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote team in India. This role is crucial for safeguarding our systems, networks, and data against potential threats. The ideal candidate will be adept at monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding effectively to incidents, all while ensuring adherence to stringent security standards. This position demands strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security systems and analyze alerts to detect and identify potential threats.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and actively support remediation efforts.
• Implement, manage, and maintain essential security controls, tools, and best practices.
• Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential weaknesses.
• Collaborate closely with IT and engineering teams to continuously enhance system security.
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, established processes, and security measures.
• Stay informed and updated on emerging threats, new vulnerabilities, and evolving cybersecurity trends.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Solid understanding of network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and endpoint security solutions.
• Familiarity with established security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Proven experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and log analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
• Experience with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools and languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Previous experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
