About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst with expertise in Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our digital assets by proactively identifying and mitigating threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced threat detection rules, searches, and analytics using Splunk and other security platforms to pinpoint suspicious activities, anomalous behaviors, and potential insider threats.
• Engineer robust detection logic specifically for insider threat scenarios, including data exfiltration, unauthorized access, privilege abuse, policy violations, and behavioral anomalies.
• Create and optimize Splunk searches, correlation rules, and alerts to effectively monitor for indicators of compromise (IoCs) and suspicious user activities across the enterprise.
• Develop and tune detection signatures and establish behavioral baselines to minimize false positives while maximizing detection efficacy.
• Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to operationalize newly developed detections and ensure seamless integration with incident response workflows.

Threat Hunting & Analysis:

• Proactively identify potential threats, anomalous, or malicious activities impacting network resources by meticulously examining and analyzing network traffic, end-user activity, and insider behavior patterns.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting campaigns focused on insider threat indicators, utilizing hypothesis-driven and intelligence-led methodologies.
• Research and analyze diverse source datasets to understand identified malicious activities, determine root causes, identify network weaknesses, and assess insider risk factors.
• Perform detailed behavioral analysis of user activities to detect deviations from established baselines and identify potential insider threats.
