Full Job Description

Sparta Systems is seeking a proactive and skilled Cyber Security Architect/Engineer II to join our Product Security Assurance Team in Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in assessing and enhancing the security posture of our diverse products and partner technologies. You will deliver essential security services using various security toolsets to identify and facilitate the remediation of security weaknesses, contributing to the continuous improvement of our product development lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

Contribute as an individual on the Product Security Assurance Team, with a role in minor team leadership.
Mentor, provide expertise, and guide junior team members, including assisting with internal team training.
Champion strategic Product Security initiatives and ensure client deliverables are met punctually.
Proactively identify and address escalations related to product security.
Lead initiatives focused on engineering more effective security solutions and developing robust methodologies.
Define scoping requirements and execute comprehensive Security Testing across various product domains.
Assist in the creation of modular, repeatable, and effective Security Testing processes.
Collaborate with the Tools and Technology Team to select, implement, develop, and automate testing using appropriate tools.
Work with cross-functional teams to devise practical remediation suggestions for identified vulnerabilities.
Report observations using standardized structures and support the development of secure-by-design principles.

Skills Requirements

Demonstrated experience in penetration testing across diverse domains including Web, Network, Mobile App, Thick Client, API, Web services, Cloud, and Containers.
Proficient understanding of application protocols, development practices, and common attack vectors.
Strong cybersecurity capabilities complemented by solid software engineering skills.
Experience utilizing penetration testing tools and frameworks such as Burp Suite, IDA Pro, GHidra, Kali, OWASP, Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, MObSF, Genymotion, Frida, and APK Tool.
Scripting experience in Python, Powershell, and Bash is preferred.
Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, .NET, or JavaScript.
Excellent understanding of security-by-design principles and architecture-level security concepts.
Up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging security threats and vulnerability exploitation techniques.
Effective oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Relevant security certifications like CEH, OSCP, or GPEN are highly valued.
Familiarity with reverse engineering tools, debuggers, and dynamic analysis techniques.
Experience integrating pentest tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
