Full Job Description
The Cyber Defense Analyst - II role at CME Group in Bengaluru/Bangalore focuses on enhancing the Cyber Defense Team's capabilities through the development of content and automation. Key responsibilities include producing well-commented code and clear documentation, building, automating, and operating security applications, and developing inter-application communications. This position will identify and propose improvements to the organization's security posture, contribute to the continuous improvement of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) processes, and recommend, implement, and test advanced threat response capabilities. Essential skills include strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, high-level critical thinking, excellent communication (written, oral, and interpersonal), and the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable in dynamic environments, and experienced in team-oriented collaboration. Required experience includes 1-2 years of intermediate-level Python automation/scripting, 1-3 years in L1 or related cybersecurity, and experience with version control systems like GIT. Playbook development, HTML, and JavaScript experience are considered a plus.
