Custom Software Engineer

Accenture is seeking a skilled Custom Software Engineer for their Pune location. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing custom software solutions, utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies to deliver scalable and high-performing applications tailored to specific business requirements. You will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Azure DevOps to build robust systems and contribute to the development of cutting-edge software components.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments. Responsibilities include leading infrastructure design, deployment, and automation initiatives; collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, data science, security); ensuring operational efficiency, security, and compliance; and driving infrastructure-as-code practices using ARM/Bicep templates. Troubleshooting and performance optimization across cloud environments, monitoring cloud services, and supporting AI/ML workloads are also key aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom software solutions and enhance components across systems and applications.
• Utilize modern frameworks and agile practices for scalable, high-performing solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure.
• Enable continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor systems and ensure high availability and performance of AI/ML platforms and enterprise services.
• Lead infrastructure design, deployment, and automation efforts.
• Collaborate with development, data science, and security teams.
• Ensure operational efficiency, security, and compliance.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using ARM/Bicep templates.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance across cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain cloud services and network reliability.
• Support AI/ML workloads and deployment pipelines on Azure ML.

Technical Skills:

• High proficiency in provisioning and managing Azure services using Terraform IaC.
• High proficiency in writing automation scripts and building CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab.
• Programming skills in ARM, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, YAML.
• Understanding of programming constructs (Java/Scala/Python).
• Experience configuring storage accounts and clusters, security, and microservices management with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Data Lake and Azure Databricks is an added advantage.
• Proven work experience in cloud deployments (MS Azure preferred) in an agile SDLC environment, leveraging modern programming languages & DevOps.

Must-have skills: Microsoft Azure DevOps

Good-to-have skills: Kubernetes

Experience: Minimum 7.5 years of experience is required, with a specific emphasis on a minimum of 8 years of experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Educational Qualification: 15 years of full-time education is required.
