Custom Software Engineer - Kolkata, West Bengal

Accenture is seeking a skilled Custom Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kolkata, West Bengal. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and configuring applications to meet intricate business process and application requirements. You will collaborate closely with project teams to understand client needs, develop robust and innovative software solutions, and ensure applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability. Your responsibilities will also include participating in thorough testing and debugging processes to deliver high-quality software products that consistently meet and exceed client expectations.

As a Custom Software Engineer at Accenture, you are expected to work independently, grow into a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and actively contribute to team discussions and problem-solving. You will play a key role in providing effective solutions to work-related challenges, assisting in the documentation of application processes and workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather comprehensive requirements and offer valuable technical insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and configure applications according to business and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and usability through rigorous testing and optimization.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and best practices.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in PySpark is a mandatory requirement.
• Strong understanding of data processing frameworks and distributed computing principles.
• Demonstrated experience with data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services pertinent to data storage and processing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to write efficient, optimized, and maintainable code for complex data manipulation and analysis tasks.
• 15 years of full-time education is required.
