Custom Software Engineer

We are seeking a Custom Software Engineer to develop custom software solutions that design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. You will use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.

Junction of Responsibilities & Technical Expertise

As an SME, you will lead team decisions and collaborate across multiple teams to manage implementation. Key responsibilities include:

1. SAP BTP ABAP Development: Design enterprise-grade OData services (V2/V4) using the RAP framework for seamless backend-to-frontend communication.
2. Business Object Modeling: Define robust business objects using Behavior Definitions and Implementations to handle CRUD operations, actions, and determinations.
3. Data Architecture: Architect complex models using ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) with annotations for UI positioning and search capabilities.
4. Cloud Extensibility: Apply side-by-side extensibility principles on SAP BTP to ensure digital core stability during upgrades.
5. Integration & Events: Implement asynchronous patterns using Business Events within RAP to orchestrate hybrid workflows across landscapes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Cloud development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and modularization techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, debugging, testing, and deployment processes.
• Educational Qualification: 15 years full-time education (equivalent to a Master's degree).
