Accenture is seeking a Custom Software Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems and applications, leveraging modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that precisely meet specific business needs.

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will actively participate in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to specific business processes and requirements. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, developing innovative solutions, and optimizing applications for performance and usability. You will also be involved in rigorous testing and debugging processes to ensure the highest quality of deliverables and will continuously seek opportunities for application improvement and enhancement.

The role also emphasizes a strong focus on DevOps practices. We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps to support the build, deployment, and operational stability of applications and infrastructure. This includes implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting cloud environments, and ensuring reliable deployments in adherence to defined standards and security protocols.

This position requires close collaboration with Senior DevOps Engineers, development teams, and the Team Lead to facilitate efficient and stable delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform tasks and develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Actively participate and contribute to team discussions.
• Contribute to providing solutions for work-related challenges.
• Assist in the documentation of application processes and workflows.
• Engage in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Build, Deployment & Operations:

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Support application build and deployment activities across various environments.
• Monitor pipeline executions and resolve any build or deployment failures.
• Assist in environment setup and configuration under guidance.
• Ensure deployment activities align with release schedules.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with development and QA teams to support CI/CD needs.
• Assist Senior DevOps Engineers in automation and improvement initiatives.
• Provide operational support during releases and deployments.
• Proactively communicate issues, risks, and dependencies.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain pipeline documentation and deployment runbooks.
• Adhere to defined DevOps standards, security policies, and processes.
• Support audit, compliance, and release readiness requirements.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in DevOps principles and practices.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML/classic).
• Support infrastructure and application deployments in Azure environments.
• Assist in managing cloud resources and configurations.
• Support monitoring, logging, and alerting setup.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and runtime issues.
• Follow security best practices for access, secrets, and configurations.

Technical Skill Sets:

• DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts); Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; Familiarity with build, release, and deployment concepts.
• Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure): Basic to intermediate experience with Microsoft Azure; Exposure to Azure services (App Services, Storage, Networking, Monitoring); Understanding of cloud resource configuration and access controls.
• Containers & Orchestration (Exposure): Basic knowledge of containers (Docker); Exposure to container orchestration concepts like AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services) / EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services) / GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
• Infrastructure as Code (Exposure): Familiarity with IaC concepts; Understanding of environment configuration through code.
• Monitoring & Operations: Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights or similar); Understanding of incident handling and basic root cause analysis.
• Security & Access Management: Awareness of cloud security best practices; Basic understanding of secrets management and role-based access control.
• Version Control & Collaboration: Experience using Git and branching strategies; Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Agile Ways of Working: Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments; Participation in sprint ceremonies and release planning activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps.
• 15 years of full-time education is required.
