Crypto Senior Backend Engineer - Remote (India)
Token Metrics is looking for a talented Backend Engineer to support our Data Scientists and Engineering team. This role involves utilizing various tools and techniques to build frameworks for data preparation using SQL, Python, R, Java, and C++. The ideal candidate will apply machine learning techniques to develop and maintain data analysis structures, staying current with dominant programming and deployment strategies. Collaboration with colleagues is essential to ensure project needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to define task requirements.
- Design and implement infrastructure for accessing and analyzing big data.
- Optimize existing frameworks for improved performance.
- Test implemented structures to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Develop data pipelines integrating diverse data sources (API, CSV, JSON, etc.).
- Prepare raw data for analysis by Data Scientists.
- Implement robust data validation and reconciliation methodologies.
- Maintain data backups and ensure accessibility for relevant team members.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements to enhance output quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience in Python, Java, or any programming language.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (Snowflake Cloud DW & MongoDB experience are beneficial).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Expert proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, C++, Java, and R.
- Expertise in building Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or equivalent solutions.
- Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
