Crypto Investment Analyst - Token Metrics (Hyderabad - Remote)

Token Metrics is seeking a skilled Cryptocurrency Web3 Investment Analyst to identify, source, and thoroughly evaluate early-stage investment opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem. This includes focusing on Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), crypto infrastructure, and emerging verticals such as entertainment and the Internet of Things (IoT). The role requires effectively communicating these investment ideas in a clear and digestible manner to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for producing high-quality research reports that delve into specific token economics and provide thematic insights across various Web3 sectors. Additionally, you will coordinate quarterly Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions or podcasts to provide updates on portfolio investments.

Success in this position hinges on a deep understanding of altcoins, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to discovering promising investment opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses strong creative and analytical abilities, performs well under pressure, and can adapt swiftly to the dynamic and rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in investing or finance, preferably within Tech VC, equity research, blockchain research, or the crypto startup space.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Confident presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
• Demonstrated crypto experience and a strong interest in Web3 technologies.
• Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills, with the ability to quickly understand, evaluate, and critique new ideas and data.
• A self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the drive to work independently.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrencies, with a particular focus on DAOs and Web3.
• Strong business acumen, including experience or understanding of market sizing, business model defensibility, unit economics, and network effects.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in Web3, including DAOs, crypto infrastructure, and emerging verticals like entertainment and IoT.
• Attend industry events such as crypto conferences and hackathons to discover new projects, foster relationships, and stay abreast of emerging crypto trends.
• Conduct detailed due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation for new investments, as well as support and monitor existing portfolio companies.
• Produce institutional-grade research reports, including in-depth token analyses and thematic insights on Web3 verticals.
• Synthesize research findings into easily understandable content for Token Metrics TV and the company's YouTube channel.
• Organize and lead quarterly AMA sessions or podcasts to provide follow-up information on portfolio investments.
