Crypto Investment Analyst

Token Metrics is seeking a talented Cryptocurrency Web3 Investment Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating early-stage investment opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem, including DAOs, crypto infrastructure, and emerging verticals such as entertainment and IoT. Your ability to communicate these insights effectively, both internally and externally, will be key.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality research reports, including in-depth token analysis and thematic insights on Web3 verticals. Furthermore, you will orchestrate quarterly AMA sessions and podcasts to provide updates on portfolio investments and disseminate your research findings through Token Metrics TV and our YouTube channel.

To excel as an Investment Analyst, a strong understanding of altcoins, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying investment prospects are essential. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses strong creative and analytical skills, and can adapt swiftly to rapidly evolving market dynamics.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in investing or finance, preferably within Tech VC, equity research, blockchain research, or crypto startups.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in presentation tools like PowerPoint/Google Slides.
• Demonstrable experience and a keen interest in the cryptocurrency and Web3 space.
• Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills, with the ability to quickly comprehend, evaluate, and critique new ideas and data.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the drive to achieve results independently.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrencies, particularly DAOs and Web3 technologies.
• Strong business acumen, including experience or understanding of market sizing, business model defensibility, unit economics, and network effects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in Web3 (DAOs, crypto infrastructure, entertainment, IoT, etc.).
• Attend industry events such as crypto conferences and hackathons to discover new projects, foster relationships, and stay abreast of emerging trends.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation for new investments, and provide ongoing support and monitoring for portfolio companies.
• Produce institutional-grade research reports, including detailed token analyses and thematic insights on Web3 verticals. Communicate findings effectively via Token Metrics TV and YouTube.
• Organize and execute quarterly AMA sessions and podcasts to discuss portfolio investments.
