Crypto Investment Analyst - Chennai (Remote)

Token Metrics is seeking a talented Cryptocurrency Web3 Investment Analyst to identify, source, and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem, including DAOs, crypto infrastructure, and emerging verticals such as entertainment and IoT. The ideal candidate will be adept at communicating these investment theses clearly and concisely, both internally and externally.

This role involves producing high-quality research reports, featuring in-depth token analysis and thematic insights into Web3 verticals. You will also be responsible for organizing quarterly AMA sessions and podcasts to provide updates on portfolio investments.

To excel as an investment analyst, you should possess a strong understanding of altcoins, a meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to discovering investment prospects. The ability to perform effectively under pressure, coupled with creative and analytical skills, and adaptability to rapidly changing market dynamics are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, source, and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in Web3 (DAOs, crypto infrastructure, and new verticals like entertainment and IoT).
• Attend crypto conferences and hackathons to discover new projects, cultivate relationships, and grasp emerging crypto trends.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation for new investments, while also supporting and monitoring portfolio companies.
• Produce institutional-quality research reports, including detailed token analyses and thematic insights on Web3 verticals.
• Synthesize research findings for presentation on Token Metrics TV and our YouTube channel.
• Organize quarterly AMA sessions or podcasts to provide follow-ups on portfolio investments.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in investing or finance, preferably within Tech VC, equity research, blockchain research, or a crypto startup.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
• Confident presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in cryptocurrency and Web3.
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, with the ability to quickly understand, evaluate, and critique new ideas and data.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and determination to drive results independently.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrencies, particularly DAOs and Web3.
• Business acumen, including experience or understanding of market sizing, business model defensibility, unit economics, and network effects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
