Crypto Data Engineer

Token Metrics is seeking a talented Big Data Engineer in Mumbai, with remote work flexibility, to support our Data Scientists and Engineering team. In this role, you will develop robust frameworks using SQL, Python, R, Java, and C++ to prepare and analyze data. You will also apply machine learning techniques to build and maintain analytical structures, staying current with leading programming and deployment strategies. Collaboration with colleagues is essential to ensure project requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs.
• Design and implement infrastructure for accessing and analyzing big data.
• Optimize existing data frameworks for improved performance.
• Test and validate data structures to ensure functionality.
• Build data pipelines from various sources (API, CSV, JSON, etc.).
• Prepare raw data for data science analysis.
• Implement data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain backups and ensure data accessibility.
• Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (Snowflake Cloud DW & MongoDB experience is advantageous).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• Expert proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, C++, Java, and R.
• Expertise in building Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or equivalent structures.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
