Crypto Data Engineer Intern

Token Metrics is seeking a dynamic Big Data Engineer intern to support our Data Scientists and Engineering team. This role involves constructing data preparation frameworks using SQL, Python, R, Java, and C++, and applying machine learning techniques for data analysis and structure maintenance. You will collaborate with team members to ensure project objectives are met.

This is a 3-month, evaluative, unpaid internship with potential for return offers based on company needs.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to identify and resolve issues and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to define project goals and develop functional, user-centric code.
• Research industry trends and developments to propose new programs, products, or features.
• Document and report data findings to relevant stakeholders, including clients and leadership.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on best practices and new programming languages, enhancing team support.
• Take initiative and lead projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Additional education or experience may be beneficial.
• Proficiency in or familiarity with languages like Java, PHP, or Python, and relevant operating systems is desirable.
• Solid understanding of the web development lifecycle, programming techniques, and tools.
• A strong focus on efficiency, user experience, and process optimization.
• Exceptional project and time management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
