Crypto Data Engineer

Token Metrics is seeking a talented Big Data Engineer to support our Data Science and Engineering teams in Hyderabad. This role involves leveraging diverse tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Java, and C++ to construct robust data frameworks. You will apply machine learning techniques to develop and maintain analytical data structures, staying current with leading programming and deployment strategies. Collaboration with colleagues is key to ensuring project requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and clients to understand and define project requirements.
• Design and build infrastructure for accessing and analyzing large datasets.
• Optimize and refine existing data frameworks for improved performance.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and usability of data structures.
• Develop data pipelines from various sources (API, CSV, JSON, etc.) and data types.
• Prepare raw data for efficient manipulation by Data Scientists.
• Implement and maintain data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure proper data backup and accessibility for authorized personnel.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies to enhance data processing quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of development experience in Python, Java, or another programming language.
• At least 3 years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with Snowflake Cloud DW and MongoDB is beneficial.
• 3+ years of experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• Expert proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, C++, Java, and R.
• Extensive experience in building Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or equivalent data storage solutions.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
