About the Role
We are seeking a driven individual to spearhead the sales and implementation of bluesign services within the Indian textile industry. This role involves building strong relationships with textile manufacturing mills, brands, and chemical suppliers, supporting their adoption of the bluesign® system, and contributing to local and cross-regional CRM activities to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the sales of bluesign services to textile manufacturers, brands, and chemical suppliers across India.
- Cultivate and maintain robust customer relationships with existing clients in the Indian market.
- Assist customers in the successful implementation of the bluesign® system, including marketing and supply chain integration.
- Collaborate with SGS India teams on event management for bluesign-related events.
- Represent the company at textile industry trade shows to generate new business opportunities.
- Contribute to and support cross-country and cross-region CRM initiatives.
- Ensure the achievement of country-specific objectives aligned with mid-range plans and annual budgets.
- Support local CRM activities, providing cross-regional support as needed.
Specific Duties
- Establish and grow the bluesign system and service offerings in India, in partnership with the bluesign organization.
- Conduct on-site visits to potential customers and network effectively at trade shows.
- Sell bluesign system partnerships to manufacturers, brands, and chemical companies.
- Promote and sell the IMPACT and DATA services to brands and manufacturers.
- Manage the end-to-end customer acquisition process.
- Secure new customers and provide ongoing support and coordination for customer-related activities.
- Oversee payment processes and maintain accurate customer data.
- Deliver training to customer personnel in collaboration with bluesign services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, participate in industry fairs, and engage in networking activities.
- Provide regular feedback on sales activities, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Support the Technical Service team in preparing for assessments, conducting on-site visits, and implementing the bluesign® system.
- Assist with travel planning for the regional director and arrange meetings with customers and potential clients during visits to India.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of established experience within the Indian textile manufacturing chain, possessing a strong sales background or a clear aptitude for transitioning into a sales career.
Essential Requirements:
- Deep understanding of the textile supply chain, including brand experience, and a background as a Textile Chemical or Textile Engineer with knowledge of environmental key performance indicators.
- Extensive network of contacts within the local textile industry and relevant organizations/associations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills.
- Proven sales experience with a proactive, "hunter" mentality.
- Knowledge of textile chemistry, textile processing, supply chain dynamics, and the brand landscape.
- Strong organizational abilities and a high degree of independence.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EU and global regulations relevant to the textile industry.
- Prior sales experience.
