Critical Environment Technician

Your responsibilities will span coordinating with vendors, ensuring safe work environments, understanding and maintaining critical facility equipment, performing diverse maintenance tasks, responding to onsite incidents with cross-functional teams, and utilizing advanced platforms to monitor equipment performance. This role is key to delivering the core infrastructure for Microsoft's online services, including Azure, Office 365, and Xbox. As a CET, you will specialize in major areas of critical environment operations such as electrical, mechanical, controls, or generators, handling advanced tasks independently. You will conduct regular inspections of facility equipment, buildings, and grounds, escalating any unsafe or abnormal conditions. Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), you will track assets and manage work orders. A critical aspect of this role is responding swiftly to and leading incident response teams for operational disruptions, coordinating corrective repairs. You will contribute to the development and refinement of emergency, methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Performing planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance and repairs on various equipment types independently is expected. A hands-on understanding of equipment functionality and troubleshooting skills is essential. You will also consult with junior colleagues and ensure strict adherence to safety, security, and business process requirements.
