About the Team
We are seeking an innovative Forward Deployed Engineer to join Deloitte's Converge for FSI team. This mission focuses on developing differentiated financial services products within our Insurance Growth Suite—a managed composable insurance platform designed for personal and commercial carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Technical Advisory: Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic accounts, building deep relationships with architects and engineers. Lead discovery sessions to understand client architectures and translate complex concepts into clear narratives.
- Solution Design & Architecture: Collaborate on scalable microservices architecture using AWS, event-driven systems (Kafka), and cloud-native patterns.
- Proof of Concepts (POCs): Rapidly prototype solutions tailored to client technology stacks and maintain a library of reusable demo assets.
- Workshops & Enablement: Facilitate technical workshops, hackathons, and onboarding bootcamps. Produce documentation like runbooks and integration guides.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer to surface product gaps to internal teams and partner with Sales and Product strategy.
Core Technical Skills
You must possess deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, event-driven architecture (Kafka, CQRS), microservices design principles, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Familiarity with emerging Agentic AI frameworks like LangGraph or LangChain is highly valued.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in client-facing roles within Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Fintech).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Business; Advanced degree preferred.
- Able to travel 20-30% and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
