Control Software Designer

Role Overview

Join Husky Technologies as a Control Software Designer in our Development Engineering team. You will design, support, and troubleshoot control systems for Injection Molding Machines (IMM) and Mold controllers within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design control systems for IMM and Mold controller applications, including servo drive/servo-hydraulic controls and injection molding process control.
• Create functional design specifications and validation plans for new functionality.
• Develop machine sequences (PLC IEC 61131-3), process control logic, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) in Windows environments.
• Troubleshoot and debug real-time and non-real-time software systems.
• Document all changes using TFS/VSTS and Azure DevOps tools.

Technical Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical & Electronics, ECE, Instrumentation, or Software Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in automated control system design.
• Proficiency in PLC structured text (IEC 61131-3) and high-level languages like C/C++/C# for HMI applications.
• Strong knowledge of PC-based controls, embedded systems, control theory, and model-based design principles.
• Familiarity with industrial networks: RS232, RS485, Ethernet, CANOpen, Profibus, Profinet, EtherCAT.
• Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT3 and VSTS development environments.
