Content Systems Engineer

About the Role

Glean is seeking a Content Systems Engineer for Technical Documentation. In this pivotal position, you will own and enhance the documentation experience specifically for our connectors—the critical integrations that allow Glean to access knowledge across customer systems.

Your Mission:

• Systematize Documentation: Move beyond traditional authoring by building scalable systems that detect changes, generate content, validate accuracy, and prevent drift between documentation and the product reality.
• Leverage AI-First Practices: Use advanced AI to analyze complex inputs, transform content, identify gaps, and support maintenance at scale. You will act as a guardian of quality for these systems.

Your Responsibilities (What You Will Own):

• End-to-End Quality Control: Manage the organization, creation, and maintenance of Glean's connector documentation to ensure it serves technical administrators effectively.
• Determine Technical Depth: Develop a deep understanding of Glean's connectors regarding configuration, authentication, permissions, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Build Automation & Agents: Create scripts, agents, and content pipelines that automate documentation workflows. Design reusable AI workflows combining appropriate models with human-in-the-loop review.
• Evaluate Output Quality: Establish guardrails for AI-generated docs, investigate failures, and refine prompts/tools to ensure accuracy and trustworthiness.
• Maintain Information Architecture: Create intuitive structures that help administrators navigate complex setup flows without getting lost.

About You (Requirements):

We are looking for a professional with 8-10 years of experience in creating or maintaining technical documentation for complex software products. Ideally, you possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript (Docs-as-code/Dev workflows).
• Demonstrated ability to build/debug scripts and automations independently.
• Advanced practical experience using AI beyond simple content generation.
• Skillsets in API specifications (OpenAPI), enterprise software documentation, authentication systems, and testing tools like Playwright.

Work Arrangement:

This role is based at the Glean Bangalore office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days on-site.
