Full Stack Developer Role in AI Innovation at EY

EY's Tax Technology Transformation team is a leader in Artificial Intelligence innovation, creating advanced solutions to revolutionize tax functions. We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with expertise in React, Node.js, and AI technologies. This role involves developing a sophisticated Retriever-Augmented Generation (RAG) based chatbot. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience with vector embeddings, Elastic databases, and frameworks like LangChain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the front-end of the chatbot application using React to ensure an excellent user experience.
• Build and manage back-end services with Node.js, incorporating AI models and handling server-side operations.
• Utilize vector embeddings to improve the chatbot's comprehension and response accuracy.
• Implement and manage databases, specifically Elastic, for efficient knowledge base management.
• Employ frameworks such as LangChain to streamline the development of AI-powered language applications.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to optimize the RAG model and enhance chatbot performance.
• Guarantee the application's scalability, security, and data protection.
• Document the development process, architecture, and best practices.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, with significant hands-on experience in React and Node.js in production environments.
• Proficiency in working with vector embeddings and understanding their function in AI applications.
• Experience with Elastic or comparable databases for storing and querying extensive datasets.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries, particularly those focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and chatbot development.
• A strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git.
• Previous experience building conversational AI or chatbots is preferred.
• Understanding of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and the deployment of AI models.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
