Consultant Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Perform design, development, and reviews of software. Write well-designed, testable, high-quality, and efficient code. Ensure designs comply with specifications. Prepare and produce software releases. Implement development best practices and manage projects within the triple constraints (Time, Cost, and Scope) in coordination with the Project Manager. Contribute to positive business outcomes by delivering on requirements and solving complex technical problems. Focus on deliverable quality, embrace new ideas for continuous process improvement. Prepare and share KPI Trackers & delivery reports. Utilize agile methodologies. Engage with customers to translate business requirements into technical artifacts. Quickly gain knowledge of applications/processes and contribute to project/program roadmaps. Be a strong communicator and collaborator, both within and outside the team. Actively contribute to the Digital Transformation objectives of the program/project/organization. Influence architects, consultants, and principal engineers on application strategy and technical roadmaps. Provide detailed feedback, status, and updates to PMs and Project Leads, including insights on development, risks, timelines, schedules, escalations, and urgent management matters. Provide expertise to efficiently resolve complex problems and guide team members. Develop techno-functional understanding of all application modules. Contribute to defining optimization goals, including code evaluation, review, regression impact analysis, cost-saving proposals, and performance enhancements. Motivate self or team-led initiatives towards business innovation.

Profile Required

Requires 3-4 years of experience in Java development. Possesses strong knowledge of Java, Spring framework, and Hibernate. Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle. Experience developing and maintaining Java applications using agile methodologies. Ability to write high-quality, reusable, and efficient code. Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting existing Java applications. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions. Ability to provide technical support to other developers. Experience participating in code reviews to maintain code quality. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in Java development. Possesses excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desirable

• BS/MS degree in computer science or related subjects.
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript, and Typescript.
• Proven hands-on software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Experience with test-driven development.

Good understanding of the SDLC and proven experience in applying its practices. Experience in Private Banking domains is highly preferred. Highly operational with a good mindset to contribute to the objectives of the organization and program. Ability to perform design, development, and reviews.
