Job Purpose and Impact

The Professional, Cyber Engineering & Technology Operations role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the organization's cybersecurity protective technologies, with a specific emphasis on endpoint security. This role operates with minimal supervision, overseeing and ensuring robust threat protection while supporting operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

• Cybersecurity Technologies: Implement, operate, and contribute to the design of cybersecurity protective technologies, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), cloud infrastructure controls, and network protections.
• Technology Management: Operate various technologies such as wide area networks (WAN), partner gateways, Internet of Things (IoT) security, email systems, collaboration tools, local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, network segmentation, virtual private networks (VPN), proxies, demilitarized zones (DMZ), middle tier systems, databases, and web servers.
• Co-creation with IT Operations: Act as a co-creator and operating partner with internal cross-functional teams on shared infrastructure initiatives.
• IT Service Management Interfaces: Manage all information technology service management interfaces, including asset, change, configuration, problem, and request management.
• Research Security Needs: Conduct research into moderately complex system security requirements for operations development, including security requirements definition, risk assessment, and systems analysis.
• Security Policies: Draft security policies and provide analytical support for their development and analysis, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Incident Response: Prepare and execute moderately complex incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans, ensuring organizational readiness for potential security breaches.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required. Typically, this role reflects 3 or more years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and/or Tanium is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with malware protection, malware analysis, and endpoint protection is essential.
• Hands-on experience with mobile security and JAMF is required.
