The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant in our Cybersecurity practice, you will work within IT Risk and Security. Your role will involve exposure to cybersecurity assessments and collaborating with teams to deliver security implementations or remediation programs.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering information security projects as part of an integrated team of Advisory professionals.
• Defining technical and business requirements for information security solutions.
• Establishing information security processes and policies that secure and enable the business.
• Enforcing business, privacy, and security policies.
• Implementing IT and information security related technology products.
• Reviewing, assessing, benchmarking, and developing issue remediation action plans for all aspects of information security programs and technologies.
• Developing information security strategies, architectures, and implementation plans.
• Performing basic supervisory duties to mentor and coach junior staff.
• Developing individuals by effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff.
• Assigning and reviewing the work of more junior employees and assisting in the preparation of final work products to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Providing performance feedback and training, and conducting performance reviews.
• Fostering an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Experience in information and cybersecurity is essential. A background from a Big 4 firm or comparable consulting experience is beneficial, though EY provides ongoing training and support for consulting skill development. We welcome applicants with industry experience and a broad background across security. Experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous:

• Experience with security methods such as vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, privacy assessments, intrusion detection, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures, and governance.
• Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.), and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
• Capability and experience in the following areas:
  • Attack & Penetration Testing / Ethical Hacking
  • Cyber Incident Response
  • Cyber Strategy & Programme Assessment

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A degree in engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience post-graduate qualification.
• Additional relevant security-related certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Certifications: Relevant security certification, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to client deliverables and technical content development.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and teaming skills.
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
